creative practice is concerned with the narrative interpretation of history and archaeology, human communities' inter-action with each other in the deep and recent past, and the impact of humankind on the environment and landscape since the end of the last Ice Age.
As a narrative consultant, David provides a range of research, educational and advisory services, supporting creative people in the arts, sciences and education to harvest insight and inspiration from folk tradition, to nourish their own professional practice.
As a performer, David sings songs and tells tales drawn mainly from the rich mythological, folkloric and historical traditions of Britain and Ireland, particularly those borderland places where his ancestral roots reach deep.
